Libraries win award for Lean Library support

Leeds recognised for helping thousands of students through our latest discovery tool
We’re proud to be chosen as July’s Library of the Month by Technology from Sage, the providers of Lean Library. The award celebrates our work to use their library technologies in effective, interesting and innovative ways.
The Libraries supported Lean Library use and utilised Assist Messages to convey important library guidance to students, generating almost 8,500 views.
Lean Library is a free browser extension that is designed to make research easier for students and staff. With Lean Library, you can access library-subscribed resources when off-campus and through your preferred research tools (e.g. Google Scholar), be redirected to open source content when you hit a paywall and be shown citations whilst researching.
We are thrilled to be Technology from Sage’s Library of the Month! It’s wonderful to have Lean Library helping our users connect easily with the content they need both on- and off-campus. It’s like a little bit of library magic happening behind the scenes.
