María Andrades de los Ríos (she/her)

Profile

I am the Open Books Coordinator at the University Library, where I focus primarily on our development partnership with Sylla and provide support to the Open Educational Resources (OER) development programme. My role aligns with the University’s strategic commitment to knowledge equity and the growth of open, accessible educational content for both our local and global communities.

Prior to this position, I worked as an Acquisitions and Reading Lists Assistant, where I was responsible for processing new resource orders and supporting the management of reading lists in collaboration with academic and support staff.

I co-chair the Idea Exchange group, a collaborative initiative in which colleagues across the Library propose, discuss and vote on enhancements to Ex Libris products. Our work has contributed to visible improvements that support more efficient workflows and a better user experience.

As a Health and Wellbeing Champion, I am passionate about fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment, and I actively contribute to wellbeing initiatives across the Library. I’ve also enjoyed delivering Spanish language sessions during the University’s Languages Week and World Unite Festival, contributing to our vibrant and diverse campus community.
