Profile

Conservation and Collections Care Manager is a key role within the University of Leeds Libraries. I provide leadership for my team and offer guidance and training on critical incident prevention, response and recovery. I manage the materials budgets and I’m responsible for developing and maintaining the in-house conservation programme. I am also a member of the Critical Incdient Planning Group for the wider University of Leeds Libraries.

I support the wider University and Library strategic and cultural activities and work with colleagues in the Cultural Collections & Galleries team to promote best practice for managing and accession collections

Responsibilities

  • Manager of the Collections care and Conservation team.
  • Establishing & maintaining conservation & collections care standards across the University of Leeds.
  • Providing guidance & training on critical incident prevention, response & recovery.

Qualifications

  • MSc Bioarchaeology, University of Bradford
  • Certificate in Archive Conservation, The Archives and Records Association.
  • ACR, Accredited Conservator- Restorer, The Institute of Conservation.
